KOTA BHARU : Opponent last minute penalty goal shattered the hopes of Kelantan FC to seize three full points at its home ground in the match yesterday.
In the early minutes of the game, Kelantan FC gave out one penalty to the opposing team, which was further followed by an equalizer by Natanael Siringoringo, and exciting attacking moves was successfully seized by Haziq Subri before another equalizer penalty goal from the opponent.
Kelantan FC is clearly devastated with the draw because they almost stun Sabah FC and to enable difference in position in Group D.
Kelantan FC Assistant Head Coach, Rezal Zambery Yahya consider this game in favour of Kelantan FC with the score of 2-1. But, he clearly disappointed and accepted the result as it is.
“Yes, I am devastated with 2-2 draw, because we should have won this match and celebrate this victory with my players that showcase energetic performance and provide a tough competition to Super League team, Sabah FC under the supervision of Datuk Ong Kim Swee,” Rezal said.
“I would like to thank all the players for their determination to win in this match,” he adds.
Kelantan FC players clearly shown their maturity in terms of game and tactical pattern after match against Johor Darul Ta’zim FC previously.
“I see that the players confidence had increase, although we faced a lot of challenges with the injury status of key players and the existing players clearly shows what they are capable of.”
“In this match we are attacking even more as compared to the previous match against JDT FC, this can be seen from the goals scored by Natanael Siringoringo and Haziq Subri from the game pattern of the whole team,” Rezal said.
After asked whether the chance is still open to move even further in TM Malaysia Cup, Rezal said that his confidence and spirit is for Kelantan FC to move even further if luck is in their side.
“This is depending on my players that every matches that they went through is very important and they need to collect as much point as they could although I realised that we are a team from the Premier League,” he explained.
“Insya-Allah we will rise in Petaling Jaya against PJ City FC, together we pray for the success of The Red Warriors.”
